Random old text messages showing up

After about 2 recent updates my phone (S21) randomly sends old text messages.. The highest has been over 1200. Not ONE of the messages is new. #pleasehelp #itskillingmybattery

If you do a search, you'll see this is common.

Complaints are from folks using Samsung Messages.

Hubby and I use Google Messages with no issue ...

You can switch back n forth between the two Messages apps and they will both show all your chats ...

I use Google messages too cause way too many problems with samsung messages. I don't get some text from certain people on Samsung messages

Thank you! I've received over 2000 old messages and this happened 2 twice today. Just switched to Google Messages.

submit an error report when it happens again with Samsung Messages and get feedback 

Samsung Members app > Get help > Send feedback > Error reports
