Will Samsung Messages ever get an update to allow users to react to messages, like Google Messages does?

Don't know the answer but read recently that some update is coming but didn't tell anything on what's being added etc

Samsung messages is being killed off. There's a reason why ALL Samsung devices come with Google messages as the default.

Seems like Google and Apple's blueprints are taking over Samsung... If this is the case Google and iPhone will start being purchased more by Samsung users. At this point the only thing Samsung has going is the ability to use 2 apps on the same screen at once🙄. If Apple does come out with a flip next year it will destroy Samsung if Samsung doesn't continue investing in its own messaging, wallpaper and app features.

I stopped using Samsung messaging 2 years ago and went to Google. Really no reason to have both on phones.

Supposedly it has gained support again by Samsung. My Samsung messages just got an update on May 21st and it enabled RCS messaging. There is an article stating it will be getting more features with One UI 8

I prefer Samsung messages over Google, it looks cleaner and more refined, although I do acknowledge it lacks some good features that gm has. I'll keep waiting for an update to see what happens.
