Galaxy S21So I purchased the s21 5G. The model number to be exact is SM-G991u1. I use it on straight talk using the Verizon sim card. I called straight talk and asked them if I should be getting 5g and they said yes. They checked my service area, I'm in a 5g ready service area. I already knew I was. My cousin has Verizon and gets 5g everywhere in our town. Long story short , I meet all 5g requirements. But I am not getting 5g. There is no 5g settings in network settings. When I had the att sim card in, there still wasn't any 5g settings. Only lte/4g/3g and 3g.
It's frustrating, I've updated the phone. I've reset it. I've done everything and I can't figure out why. Straight talk has advised that I have 5g access but nobody knows why I don't have 5g. Usually I can figure this stuff out but I'm lost. I downloaded the Samsung band selector. And there is no 5g bands to choose from in that either. It's like this phone doesn't support 5g. I get lte and lte+ just fine.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I got this device from rent a center. Don't bash me, it's the only way I could afford to get a new device. I broke my note20. Thank you.
