So my galaxy s21 just arrived today,  and i was under the impression that boost mobile supported the new line of phones,  there were mixed messages on whether they did or didn't,  tried to swap to the new phone and apparently not.  Is there any time frame on when there will be support for the s21 lineup? Like the phone so far but it'd be nice to actually use it

At this time the 5G network is not available with Boost Mobile consumers, but is plans for this to change as Boost Mobile updates things on their end. For additional details please reach out to Boost Mobile directly.

If boost mobile doesn't support it, and you own the phone, then it isn't set up to a carrier like Sprint or Verizon. That means you could sign up with any carrier you wanted that does support the 21. I know my husband uses Cricket and it isn't expensive, but I don't know if you have them in your area. I think most the major carriers would have pay as you go options with no contract.

apparently Direct bought them, i know switching is an option, but it's not something I'm currently looking for, just a time frame for support of the phone

Did you purchase an Unlocked phone?

The wife and I have been on Consumer Cellular for years, and we simply moved the (AT&T [1]) SIM from our S10s to our S21s and connected from the get-go

[1] With C. C., you can choose to use either an AT&T. SIM or TMobile SIM

Yeah it's an unlocked phone but again I'm not looking to swap providers, just looking for a time frame on support for the device. So far no help from anywhere really, really disheartening
