S21 Ultra playing audio from phone when connected to Bluetooth

Anyone else having a problem with Bluetooth? My phone will pair with my device and I  can control volume and skip or rewind a song BUT the sounds are coming from the phone not my device.   I have tried multiple devices same issue.

Is this happening with all apps or just one? Also, do you have separate sound set to always play sound set to play sound through the phone only? You can search for separate sound in settings and change it as needed.

No, just my music app (Samsung Music). I checked the settings to allow phone and audio.

check this setting:

connect to bluetooth - drop down notification bar - click media - and select bt device.

Did that. It seems to affect the music app. Other apps audio works fine.

If all other devices and apps are working normal, try a different Bluetooth profile in developer options to see if it changes behavior. I use 1.6 AVRCP and 1.2 PBAP as my default now. Not exactly sure why it's acting this way.

I just downloaded a different Music app and all is well.
