S21 Ultra won't update to new google messaging design

I'm with Verizon and I've done everything that I know to do. My Google Messaging app won't update to the new app design no matter what I've tried to do. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the app multiple times, cleared the cache and nothing. Both my phone app and contacts app have the new logo, just not messaging. I don't get it!! Anyone else have this problem and what's the solution. Thanks in advance.

To update to the Latest Version of Google messages try installing Google carrier services beta and also Google messages beta then after you have done that Tap on the Google messages icon and then clear the cache and data Then Tap Force Stop on the application
