Galaxy S21ALL RIGHT PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE PROBLEM.
I have an s21+
One UI 7.0
Recently - The microphone on the samsung keyboard does not recognize VOICE input.
The microphone icon IS there, when clicked it starts flashing like it always has but it does not interpret voice input. The green dot appears on the display.
ALL the settings have been checked, verified permissions, settings turned off, switched to google voice input (WHICH WORKS) settings returned to default, settings adjusted back NO RESULT.
The keyboard is THE ONLY place it does not work.
The microphone works for calls, google, everything else JUST NOT ON THE SAMSUNG KEYBOARD. So it is not a microphone issue.
There are NO bluetooth devices active.
Bluetooth headset microphone input does not work.
The audio wave recorder on the keyboard toolbar records a voice message.
This is a recent issue since it used to work.
OK UPDATE.
Using the keyboard on other apps the voice input works.
Notes, Google, Facebook, Insta, Other social media apps that allow comments.
So it appears the voice input does not work for MESSAGES.
Why?

Galaxy S21Hello userw7vQj4nU56, welcome to the Samsung Community! I understand your concerns with your microphone not working for voice to text. You stated that you have tried the microphone on different apps and it works as expected. Have you tried using the voice to text feature with a different messaging app? You can try clearing the cache partition on your device: with your device powered off hold down the volume up and power buttons together at the same time, once the Samsung logo appears then release the power button, select Clear Cache Partition, reboot your device as normal. You can also clear the cache to the Samsung messaging app.
Please let me know if using a different messaging app allows you to use the text to talk feature.
You can submit an error report by: Samsung Members app > Get help > Send feedback > Error reports.

Galaxy S21Hello,
I am also experiencing the same issue with the Samsung keyboard voice input. I've tried the voice input on several apps and it has the same issue. If I set the voice input to Google voice input voice input settings it works using the Google assistant, but once switched back to the Samsung input it does not work. As mentioned by the OP above, the mic button is available and is illuminated/flashing when selected, but no text is applied to the text field. I tried the suggested process of clearing the cache in both the Samsung Keyboard app and the Samsung phone partition, but it unfortunately did not resolve the issue. As a side note, to enter the screen to clear the cache, I had to connect my S21 to a computer after turning it off and prior to pressing the volume-up button with the side power button. Any additional suggestions to possibly correct this issue is appreciated.
Thank you.
