Solved: Samsung Health has no support for Garmin devices - Samsung Community

Just got my S21 Ultra up and running and everything is freshly installed.

I just went out for a run and noticed I couldn't pair my Garmin Heart Rate Monitor (a chest strap) to Samsung Health. There are NO Garmin devices at all to choose from in the "Accessories" menu in Samsung health on the S21 Ultra.

However, on my Note10, I do see Garmin devices in the same menu, and I can pair to my Garmin chest strap just fine.

Both phones are running Samsung Health 6.15.1.003 which is the latest version at the time of writing.

Does anyone have a clue why the S21 Ultra has different options under the Accessories menu compared to Note10?

Nope, I tried that. It's worth mentioning it is not a Bluetooth device, it's an ANT device.

I just now realized that maybe the S21 Ultra does not support ANT, and I checked on ANT's official website and the latest Samsung phone to support ANT is the S20. Seems like the S21 does not support it and that explains this whole thing.

Guess I'll be buying a new HRM 😕

I don't really have an answer for you but you may be able to sync all your health data including that from Samsung Health and Garmin devices by using a free app like this one.

The issue is not about syncinc fitness data. It's about being unable to pair any Garmin device with Samsung Health in the S21 Ultra. It's as if Samsung decided to erase Garmin from the accessory menu. On my Galaxy Note10 however, Garmin devices are visible in the accessories menu. I find this very very strange.

Have you tried installing the ANT radio service from the google play store? Maybe that helps?

Great suggestion! I just did install both the ANT and ANT+radio service plugins and rebooted the phone and the result is still the same. While scanning for accessories this time, I noticed it actually says "Supported types: BT/BLE". I take that as confirmation that the S21 lineup does not have any support for ANT or ANT+.

That's weird, because every website I looked at, it says the S21 lineup has ANT+ support.
