Just to make sure that you have it setup correctly.

Settings->Biometrics and Security->Samsung Pass->Long Press and then fingerprint then make sure it is set up.  You can also follow the below instructions or go to the setting right from the Samsung Pass setup menu.

Settings->General Management->Passwords and Autofill->Long press on Autofill Service and select Samsung Pass.

if the suggestion by bill-e didn't help, then you also have the option to report to samsung members app > get help > error report   after reproducing the issue (take a screen recording of the issue and attach to the ticket).
