Scrolling keyboard and predictive text

What in the heck happened with the scrolling keyboard and predictive text??? 
It literally disappeared from my S21 ultra 5G, after the Feb 2022 update.  

January, I'd switched from Verizon over to TMobile.  Then a few security updates went through. No worries.  Then my phone restarted.  The Verizon logo replaced with the TMobile.one  Some settings features were then gone or missing, such as the keyboard adjustments or prefs.  So when I went to text a friend, I noticed that the scrolling keyboard was no more.  I literally had to either spell out every word.  "choose" from 1 or 2 words shown. Or use voice text, which isn't so bad, if you are alone.  But at work, I don't need everyone knowing my business, and it's annoying. 

Can anyone shed some fast light on this?  My newer A52 still has the scrolling keyboard.  So I don't know what the heck happened. And its driving me bonk. 😫😫😫

Looks like your using Gbored on that device. Switch to the samsung keybored

However if you've been using gbored then It's possible Google updated it and removed scrolling suggestions

Try a different keyboard. I use SwiftKey.

have you checked the keyboard settings? check and see if swipe to text is enabled
