Text Messages not showing up

So, for whatever reason I can text this one person. And he gets my text but I never receive his? I thought I fixed the problem last week, but it seems to be doing the same thing again. Phone calls go through but I'm not receiving his messages.. help please!

crazy suggestion ... install Google Messages and see if it works.

You can switch back n forth between the two and the chats will always be there

many folks are reporting odd issues with Samsung Messages ... wife and I use Google Messages for quite a while with no problems

With Google messages, you keep your number they don't give you one. It's not like a texting app where they give you a number right? And if I text on one will I get notifications to both google message and on my Samsung?

it's simply another texting app ... it uses your current phone and number

Think of it as Samsung Messages app, but it's first name is "Google"

There's no difference ... nothing will be lost
