Since the launch of UI 6.1, my S21 Ultra stopped receiving pop-up notifications for text messages. I get the text tone and the badge, but no pop-up. I have my settings set to enabled (like it was prior to the update).

The only place the pop-up works is the "preview" for my lock screen. If I'm on my phone in any capacity (texting, phone call, games, social media, browser) and a text comes through. No pop-up.

It would be nice if Samsung stopped forcing their updates on users! Just last year they had the opposite issue bugging S21 users. Text message preview didn't work, but pop-ups did... Let's have fix for this please!!

Hello, thanks for reaching out, and welcome to the Community. I can understand the inconvenience of not seeing text pop-up notifications when busy elsewhere on your S21 Ultra. First, try resetting your app preferences:
Navigate to Settings > Apps > 3 dot icon (menu icon) > Reset app preferences > Reset.

If that does not work, try a different text messaging app as your default (if using Samsung Messages, use Google Messages, or vice versa). You can also try clearing the cache on your messaging app: https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS00077611/

If the behavior is still present, there could be a third-party application responsible. See if this still happens in Safe Mode: https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS00062983/

If it doesn't, uninstall third-party applications until the behavior is corrected.

Lastly, you may want to try a factory reset. This can be accomplished using this guide: https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS00062029/
Make sure beforehand to back up your stuff: https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS00060517/

If you continue to not receive pop-up notifications after the troubleshooting, submit an error report via Samsung Members: https://www.samsung.com/ae/support/mobile-devices/raising-an-error-report-via-samsung-members-app/
