On the Galaxy S21 FE, When using music apps like Spotify or SiriusXM only the bottom speaker works after the 5.1 update. It works for calls and ringtones, but not with music apps
I found a workaround. If you turn off system sound Touch Interactions the top speaker is working for music apps. We shouldn't have to do that but it's a workaround if you want the top speaker to work when playing music apps. Hopefully someone will see this and fix it on the S21 FE with an update.
I'm having this same issue whenever watching tiktok YouTube pandora etc. Sometimes I'll only get sound from the bottom speaker :speaker_high_volume:. Started acting like this since the new 5.1 update. Prior to that it was working fine. I also found out if you make a call or play a voice message the top speaker would work for audio again. So aggravated 😑. This phone is new bought last month. I sent a error report and a tech asked me to explain more in detail just waiting on the response. Another person on a forum said they were facing the same issues and that a March security update resolved the issue. My security update was last updated on February 1st. So hopefully I'll receive the March security update and pay attention to see if I get the same earpiece speaker issues while playing music and movie apps. I have the s21 fe 5g
Do the workaround I posted here. Turn off system sound Touch Interactions with the music app closed, reopen the music app and the top speaker will work for music apps.
I have the same issue with my S21 after the update, only with my bottom speaker working intermittently. I noticed when I stopped getting notification sounds. I can go into settings to try to change the notification sound but none make any sound. Ringtone works fine. If I use Spotify or YouTube I hear sound from the bottom speaker and can switch to notifications and get sound on the first selection, then I can no longer hear the notification sounds again. Is anyone else experiencing this issue?
