Regardless of the pointless force of features that will never be used ... my battery life is now 1/4 of what it was. This is utter *bleep* service to repeatedly force updates that kill old devices. Give us the apk for the previous and the options to prevent updates, or every device I own from here on will either be rooted and prevented from updates, or no longer **bleep**

Just experienced the ui 7 update. The battery drain is extreme. I tried resetting my optimization, my charging, using dark mode, disabling AOD screen, etc. You name it, I reset it. But no luck. It still drains too much. I briefly considered upgrading, but hearing that Galaxy 24 and 25 phones are experiencing the same battery draining issues means, to me, that they've built a product that was form over function.

I, for one, don't care how pretty the graphics and animations are, if it means I have to walk around all with my phone plugged into a large charger brick.

Perhaps they need to shelve some of these design updates until the power-related capabilities of our current phone models catches up. Alternatively, if this is an issue where the US receives inferior phones, and this system works in a global non-US scale, then we need to get better phones imported to this country. (I ponder that alternative, because I know that Asian phone markets are well ahead of us in speeds and capabilities.)

In the time of typing this post, my battery drained 2%.

I did a power cycle on my phone about 6 or 7 times, and I think my power drain is done. I think it's a Bluetooth issue, I couldn't get any calls to go through my car, and the audio would cut in and out. Also, my watch would drain overnight when I wore it. I think because the Bluetooth is constantly connecting and disconnecting that it just drains the phone and watch. So there's probable some bug that gets pushed out of the ram when power cycling

Is Samsung doing g this on purpose like apple did? This is messed up if so. We need to get to the bottom of this.

I just noticed by now that on wireless charging, it couldn't go above 86%. I've had to physically charge it now.

I have tons of apps that have already been sent to a deep sleep anyway, that I'll have to look into it further. I don't know if it is also relevant, but I also got a notification that Link for Windows has had an unsual spike of data being used. The thing is, I barely use this feature itself, and for that matter it isn't on through most times, so it shouldn't be trying to connect to anything or getting data. I'd wonder if something about this update is just causing apps to drain the battery in the background as much as data, as this wasn't happening to my knowledge before the update.
