Hello, welcome to the Community, and thanks for reaching out. To use video call effects, simply tap the color wheel and change it to your desired color. Video call effects cannot be turned off, but you can adjust what these effects and colors are.
I am not happy with having color behind me as it is now what I prefer when I am speaking with someone for my business, what can I do to have a real background showing?

And how can I turned off the notifications of call effects. The app is notifying me suggestions all the time and its very annoying to have to remove it all the time from my screen.
I can't have a phone that doesn't let me control what it does. I am not just a captive animal that Samsung can force feed whatever it likes. I get annoying notifications about this totally unwanted feature every single day and have to check to see if they're important. The button for this is disabled. Why is Samsung so determined that I use this feature? What information does it leak?
found the solution @Martin5@Lucy 319@lisa92979@mary56@Tode@Members_ymbA53r@PereBanMar , the On/Off button for video call is placed in another place. When you are in a call or taking a selfie on whatsapp, pull the screen down so that screenshot,bluetooth,notification screen is showing, at the very top where theres the green circle symbol with a camera, press it and it should show you the video call effects. Not sure if this was the best explaination but hope this helps
