I got the Samsung S21 from having a Samsung S7. PS 21 voice to text never works properly while I'm using it for text messaging or emails. It has no option for custom spelling, you can't just put the first letter of your group in the "to," section anymore you have to jump through hoops to get to your group contact group, and also there are no suggestions that pop up when you spell something wrong or I meant to put a name you use all the time. The suggestions were right there in the S7. The S7 you could put the first couple of letters of your group name and it would pop up.

I don't know how to fix any of these things, I am looking into possibly just getting another S7 just for the text message and voice to text functionality. Is anyone else having this problem and does anybody have any suggestions on how to fix this? I have loaded a ton of different text messaging apps and that hasn't worked either.

I would never expose an S7 to the Internet ... only on a localized network.

I've had no issue with voice to text with any app on my 21 Ultra Unlocked. Suggestive typing works as designed. My wife uses voice to text on her 21 also, with no issues, although her deep Texas accent can challenge the interpreter 🙂

The S7 is completely outdated and isn't receiving any security updates and I would highly suggest against that.

Have you tried Truecaller? It's a great app for blocking spam but it also has Groups and a search function right at the top which pulls up Contacts/Groups even with one letter typed. It may help you for that.

I know what you mean, it use to pop up a list of words when you touched a word that was wrong but it doesn't have that anymore. That and speak to text has been really bad going from my note 9 to my note 20 ultra.

I have the Galaxy S21 and it has without a doubt the worst voice to text interpretations it adds words that you don't say it misspells things would turns into wood share share turns into share c h e r the singer it changes words after you press the send it is the worst designed by horrible Engineers but have not fix this problem and have no intention of fixing this problem this will be my fourth or fifth Galaxy S21 because the only solution my phone company can come up with a T and T is to keep sending me new phones instead of fixing the problem and throw this thing in the deepest hole so that it could never escape again Samsung is not any better if he calls Samsung they will tell you they're unaware of the problem as does AT&T no one understands that this problem is even happening so the derelict in their duties as well the people that Samsung will tell you to send your phone and we have to send it in for 10 days even if you tell them it's your fourth or fifth new phone all they have is one answer they repeat over and over again it is clear that software Engineers should leave stuff that's working alone and stop making improvements nobody knows how to use the voice tone or the speed settings I never been available before I no one knows how to use them I was also told maybe I should try different languages other than American English maybe Australian that might work who the heck would think of that as a consumer only completely out of touch software engineer would think of that this phone is a complete disappointment as my primary mode of communication I spend more time correcting things and I average you taking advantage of it it's frustrating the people on in Samsung and a T and T are just unbelievably inept this phone should be set on fire and never talked about again oh and everyone else that has the phone that communicates with me complains about the same issue and again tech people at AT&T and the tech people at Samsung have no idea why don't you Google it why don't you have people that go on Google and look at the Forum so you can be informed or better judge use the product your selves

 

Oh yes I should probably add per the site rules respectfully frustrated to the point but this nightmare has not stopped for a year and will probably never buy another galaxy again is every person customer has my Google pixel 6 worked perfectly for voice to text baby the software Engineers if Samsung can go over to Google and learn a thing or two unbelievable
