How to mark contact name as favorite?

Select the contact, touch the last icon (i) and then the options come up. First one is the star for favorites.

no star at above, I will try to move all contacts to phone, they are on SIM. Thank you very much.

Good point.   I downloaded mine from the Verizon backup to the phone.
