galaxy s21 USA finger print scanner unreliable

I bought the brand new galaxy s21 , and the finger print scanner is unreliable. Many times it simply does not work. Very frustrating,  is this a upgrade or downgrade. It is terrible, I upgraded from galaxy s7 .. and does not like this at all..

how did you get the phone so close? I pre-ordered mine and is expected to be delivered after Feb26 and I'm also in US. about the fingerprint, it is not reliable since S10. I got a Note9, S10, now I have a Note 10+ and the fingerprint is awful. I set up the same finger 3 times and in a few weeks the phone doesn't recognizes me. and I don't work with my hands, so my fingerprint doesn't change in a few weeks. that's a real flaw.

My wife has an S21 and I have an S21 Ultra ... no issues here ... I have two fingers stored and each work flawlessly.

Maybe you should rescan your finger(s)

I have rescanned 15 times with left and right thumb. it is a flaw..

s21 finger print scanner is not at all good. I bought a one plus 5g around same time no issue there s21 has finger print scanner issue returning this junk back

Why is the fingerprint unlock so Terrible.  The software update was supposed to improve.  It did not.  The fingerprint feature works better on the S9 that I just upgraded  from.

The fingerprint works just fine on my end. It takes half a second to unlock.

I've used it a few times today since it arrived around noon and it works fine.

i just posted a similar topic. i'm completely disgusted that after 2 years samsung didn't improve on this technology and it feels just as bad as the S10.
