no the light to the left is the moon.

no. I just point zoom lock on and try adjusting the brightness. its just weird that it looks like the moon to the left but it's the big bright ball

I'm getting this too. No idea why. Anyone found a solution?

I get this when the sun has not fully set.

The photo is not looking good due to a reason. The setting for the moon works when it is over 30x zoom mode. Before that the phone is not able to preprocess the image with the right amount of light due to which the moon shot is not clean.

Try to increase your zoom magnification to the full 100x and let the Samsungs camera software do wonders. You need to hold phone stable for 1 second before clicking and you will see the noise disappearing and get clean looking Moon shots.

I zoom in 100x with screen optimizer on and still just get a glowing ball.
