Is there a backup for Alarms? Can Samsung develop a BACKUP and a SEARCH feature for alarms?

Your alarms are contained in your nightly backup along with your other settings.  Why would you need to search alarms? Do you have 100 alarms set?  You can sort the Alarms by time and that would make them easy enough to find.  You can also set alarm groups so you can find them in the group.

Yes, in fact, I do have at least 17 alarm set in four categories. Thus, a search feature would help immensely.

I  understand, but if you already have them grouped, and into only 4 groups, they should be easy to find.

I use my alarms 17 in each group at least, to find and to schedule appointments. Sometimes I have four appointments at one place on different days and different times. I want to be able to find the appointment I'm looking for without having to scroll through and find them. If I type "vet" for instance, I want to find all my appointments at the VA.

You can use reminders instead of alarms.  The Reminders app has a search function.  You can set a distinctive notification sound for when your reminder comes up (as long as you have notification categories on).  Until such time as they come up with a search feature for alarms, that may be a solution for you.

I think they don't have a search feature because the majority of people don't have a plethora of alarms.  Personally, I don't often have need of an alarm, but when I do, I just keep changing the time on one of the 4 I have in my list. I get calendar notifications for appointments

I use alarms for my appointments and everything else because they it forces me to pay attention to it when it goes off. Calendar just pops briefly at the top of my phone and disappears.
