The thing is that software based we, S22 ULTRA owners need improvements in our camera? The stabilization of S23 is considerably better, less stuttery and without that overcorrecting jumping frames while shooting video. Especially in zoom. Other than that, the better processing of each indivindual frame of the video is better - software-wise- in S23. Better looking darks - not unreallistic night sky- and also the less contrasty video comes out better in S23 than in our S22 ULTRA. Over contrast in videos introduces noise too. So, is a camera improvement update gonna come for the 2nd best smartphone you have out there? We just need an update that somewhere mentions "Camera Update" not just "security issues addressed"

I'm sure just like the S21 ultra, and the s20 ultra, they will end up pushing out whatever they can to the previous flagships to upgrade their camera or systems accordingly. However, you have to realize, all items that work on the s23 may not work on the previous models.

That's why I was referring to software. I believe that 75% of the final image detail even in video frames happens by software. So less jittery-pronounced movement of the EIS (electronic image stabilization) is controlled by the software. Better looking skin tones closer to real life, is also software-wise. Less contrasty videos as S23's video would be fine. Lets wait and see if this recommendation finds open ears...

Man, my S22 ultra has a blurry pictures. I didn't like the camera resolution at all.
I remember that I contacted them somewhere and they responded telling me to take my phone somewhere!! And maybe they going to charge me for it. Now seriously I didn't do it and forgot about it, but I'm not happy with the camera at all.

Yep! my 22U takes blurry/grainy pictures if I zoom above 20x.

I was looking forward to upgrading to the 23U, but the low trade in offer samsung offered has me hanging on to this piece of junk for another year...

All of the camera software improvements are likely baked into OneUI5.1, so I imagine when we get that we'll also get whatever new camera features that the phone can support
