22 Ultra here. I've got an black ink around my front camera and it happened after the IU update. I've reset the phone and nothing changed. Any ideas? And is warranty covered in other countries?

Strange. I thought it was my display damaged by something like water or physical hit. This cannot be a coincidence. I believe it's the same One UI update issue.

BTW, about warranty, if there are no physical damage, you should possibly get warranty. Please talk to Samsung support.

S22U is nearly 4 years old. It is highly unlikely this device would fall within the limited one year warranty period.

Black "inky" spots would typically indicate physical damage to the display, but given the age of the device (nearly 4 years old) you may be just seeing dead pixels. This is unfortunate, but not unheard of given the age of the device.

It is impossible to know without visiting a certified samsung repair center to diagnose the device in-person.

Assuming you purchased the device new and not used/refurbished, you MAY still be eligible for a warranty repair if the damage is the result of a manufacturer defect.

Regardless, it is recommended that you visit a certified service center to diagnose the issue.
