Can You Disable the "Check Background Activity" Window?

When you tap the Recents button in the Navigation pane, it will show "# active in background" at the top of the screen if you have # apps active in the background.  If you then click on "# active in background", a screen will pop up labeled "Check background activity", and you will be able to force stop any of your apps that are running in the background from that screen.  If you have an "app blocker" app running in the background (such as AppLock - Fingerprint from the Google Play store), you can easily force stop the "app blocker" app by doing this, which defeats the purpose of having the "app blocker" app.  Is there any way to  disable the "active in background" bar or the "Check background activity" window?

Windows will sort your apps by background usage. Click the three-dot button next to the app and select the Manage background activity option. Under the Background permissions section, click the dropdown menu and select the Never option.

Thanks, but I don't think this resolves the issue. The goal isn't to stop the app from running in the background; it's to prevent the user from being able to easily force an app to stop from the phone's home screen when you want the app running in the background. (Also, the Galaxy S22 runs Android, not Windows.)

Tap the app icon in the task changing screen, then choose "keep open", this should prevent it from being force closed in any situation and prevent the bypass

Thanks TipsyTrex!  I thought your idea might work, but unfortunately the specific app I'm using (Applock - Fingerprint) doesn't have the "Keep Open" option, even though most other apps do.  Appreciate the suggestion though!

install good lock, then install home up.  In home up, go under task changer options, enable it and choose your preferences.  You will not see "active in background" any more and you can change how the recents menu looks.
