I don't know exactly what is going on, but it's been an unholy TWENTY-ONE AND A HALF HOURS that the Google Play Store has been stuck on "Pending..." for several app & game updates. Both 5G data AND wifi signals claim to be at full strength and at best connection, but that is just flat out impossible. There's no way, not when this has been stuck like that for so long!! I intend to investigate Every. Single. Possibility.
And before you ask,
โข NO...it's not a storage issue, Google Play is VERY catty about that. It not only did goes out of its way to tell you so, it will immediately stop ANY download attempts.
โข NO...clearing cache and rebooting the phone hasn't done ANYTHING TO FIX THE PROBLEM. Resetting network connections has done NOTHING TO FIX THE PROBLEM. Even removing and re-adding my Google account, guess what, IT'S DONE ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO FIX THE PROBLEM!!
T-Mobile was utterly useless, they suggested contacting Samsung, so here I am...

Maybe turn your phone off for about 15 minutes then reboot holding the volume up and the Bixby button simultaneously until a menu comes up. Using the volume controls, scroll down to clear cache then scroll down to repair apps, then reboot. Use the bixby button to enter it in.

Boot to recovery mode and clear phone cache through that Make sure you clear it three times in a row, then go down to the last option called "fix apps" and press that one and let the system go through every app and do its thing you'll just see a spinning gear icon but that should get you into a better spot than you're in I won't guarantee it but I'm pretty confident that will get things going for you. The other thing that crossed my mind reading your post was what is your device certification currently on the Play Store? If you go to settings in the Play Store and go all the way to the bottom there should be something there about whether or not your device is certified or not there are many apps that can be downloaded that uncertify your device on the Play Store and if your device is uncertified You cannot download anything no matter what from the Play Store until you are recertified again then reboot. You're probably fine and certified but it's just something to check if my first suggestion or anybody else's doesn't work

Sorry but I'm not sure what cache you're talking about when you say you've already cleared cache and it didn't help, You talking about the app cache or phone OS cache?

Thanks anyway, folks. Got it fixed after all by: specifically going into Settings>Apps>Google Play Store, force stop, three-dot icon>Uninstall Updates, Storage>Clear Cache>Delete Data; then open the Play Store, go to profile>About>Update Play Store (SOMEHOW, it had automatically updated itself), then attempt to download...and this time it worked. Such an oddly specific process, though...

Sometimes Google Play updates have strange prerequisites. For example, Android system intelligence might have to be updated before Chrome can be updated for example.
