Tried to reinstall FB messenger recently and Google Play keeps telling me it can't be downloaded, but provides no reason for it.

I have followed/tried all the available suggestions I have found here and online.  I have checked for software and system updates, I have checked I have adequate storage/memory, I have cleared cache and data, I have uninstalled and reinstalled Google Play, I have restarted my phone, I have tried everything and it still isn't working.

Any other solutions available?

Odd. Have you cleared the Play Store's app cache?

If that doesn't work, are you able to sideload a Messenger APK from a reputable source like APKMirror?

Is it possible that content restrictions in the Play Store are enabled? I believe Meta apps are 17+ if so1768060921894.jpg

A sound suggestion, I've been tripped up by that before, but just checked and parental controls are off

Yes, as above I cleared both data and cache.

I have tried the APKMirror route and that seems to have worked thank you. Never heard of that before so concerned about the security of it, but it appears to be the only way I can get messenger again.

Maybe their servers are down. Trying changing your DNS and login from a browser.
