Hey Everyone...I had a Galaxy S9+ about a year and a half ago and I noticed that when I created text shortcuts for different emojis, I could text the assigned phrase right next to the emoji and the desired emoji I wanted would come up for me to select. I now have a S22+ and see that I can't do that on this phone. I do remember typing really fast the 1st time on the S9+ and so perhaps I broke some kind of code to make that happen, or is there actually an input setting that controls being able to do this? I appreciate any help and feedback, thanks!

Just so I understand correctly, when you want to send a heart emoji, you used to type in heart and your desired heart emoji would populate in the predictive text bar?

Yes, and let's say for example, right next to the heart emoji I want to place a high-five emoji. I would enter my text phrase for the high five emoji right next to the heart emoji, and the high-five emoji would come up for me to select; where as now, the text shortcut phrase only is there when I type, not the high-five it's assigned to. I can send a screenshot of what I'm saying if I'm still not clear enough for you.

Go to keyboard settings and turn on the show stickers while texting. If I understood you correctly.

I tried, but that wasn't the solution. Thank you again however!

Unfortunately, I can't think of anything else to advise you to try. Good luck, and I hope you get it figured out soon

In the keyboard settings (I think you know how to get there but Settings General, keyboard list and default. If Samsung is your default click Samsung and make sure "suggest emojis while typing" is on?? I think it is similar to stickers but you need emojis on. Screenshot_20230907_225439_Samsung Keyboard.jpg
