Emoji reaction to texts

I have a Samsung galaxy 22 ultra. I was able to react to text messages with emojis, but when it updated I could no longer. Anybody else knows how to get the reactions back?

Are you using Google messages

If you are then you need to check the advanced settings

If you are using Samsung messages

Samsung messages doesn't support reacting to non-rcs text messages

Alright! You can try going to Messages> the three dot drop down menu> settings> chat features and make sure rcs is active. If the "chat features" setting isn't there, I suggest downloading "Google Messages" for the Google Play Store and setting up rcs in that app.
