I'm sure you would have noticed there is a higher bitrate optional setting for the video camera.
I have tested this out and i have noticed recently that it does the complete opposite and records at a lower bitrate, i have tested this repeatedly and there is no doubt.
This was not the case a while ago, but i'm not sure if it's just me, whether soemthing is wrong, or whether it's actually normal and i'm missing something.
Some help on this would be nice
It's not uncommon for video settings to behave unexpectedly, and bitrate issues can be frustrating. There could be several reasons for this problem. Let's explore some potential solutions:
Software Update: First, ensure that your camera's firmware and software are up to date. Sometimes, manufacturers release updates to fix bugs and improve performance.
Reset Settings: Try resetting your camera settings to default and then reconfigure the bitrate option. Sometimes, a glitch in the settings can cause such issues.
Storage Capacity: Check if your storage media (e.g., SD card) has sufficient capacity to handle the higher bitrate recording. Insufficient storage can lead to automatic adjustments in bitrate to avoid data loss.
Temperature and Hardware: Extreme temperatures can affect camera performance. Make sure your camera is not overheating, as this could cause it to reduce the bitrate to avoid damage.
Compression Format: Verify if the camera is using the correct compression format for your desired bitrate. Some codecs might not perform well at very high bitrates.
User Manual: Consult your camera's user manual or online resources provided by the manufacturer. There might be specific settings or configurations required for achieving the desired bitrate.
Contact Support: If the issue persists after trying the above steps, consider reaching out to the camera manufacturer's customer support or an online community/forum where fellow users might have encountered similar problems.
Remember to document your observations and the steps you've taken to troubleshoot the issue. This information will be valuable if you need to seek further assistance.
Good luck, and I hope you can resolve the bitrate problem with your video camera!
I just figured out what is going on.
The higher bitrate only works in a frame rate higher than 30fps.
If it's 30 or less, the option records in a lower bitrate.
So the the only problem is Samsung do not explain this fact anywhere, nor does anyone else on the internet
