The period key is no longer on my keyboard to the right of the space bar and I have to switch to symbols view to use the period, every sentence I end i have to switch to symbols to use the period! Now the page down button is where the period used to be. It just skips down one line.. I have tried to move it under settings - style layout-custome symbols and it won't let me change the buttons on either side of the space bar.

You can always switch to a different keyboard. I'm using the A13-G5 model. I believe I had the choice between Samsung's and the Google keyboard. Just recently, the Microsoft SwiftKey keyboard has become available for use on my phone. O.K. that's one option, there's a possibility that you may not want to switch to a different keyboard. I would like to believe that the settings are for the most part close enough to being the same from one model to another. So you would start in general management or something very similar to that I guess if you don't have the general management you can always highlight your magnifying glass in settings and type keyboards and see where that leaves you. Once you find that specific settings like I said mine is General management, you should be able to search for custom symbols, number keys perhaps, they have alternative characters listed on my phone. And through those few specific settings I certainly could add a comma or a period anywhere I wanted to on my keyboard. I'll send a couple screenshots I hope this was helpful good luck to you.

@Meows You can use Samsung's Keys Cafe app to create your own keyboard.
