One UI home, should have a option to pop up keyboard automatically when you swipe to the app drawer or swipe down to open finder.  I don't know why Samsung does not add this. They added in good lock home up to swipe down to bring up finder. However it doesn't pop up the keyboard? What is the purpose of having to click the text box at the top of the screen? The iphone spot light has this feature and so does the pixel phones. Please add this Samsung.

The purpose of clicking on the text box (note it's the spot to type the search criteria) is so that the focus is on that box for the keyboard.

If having it your way, what is the KB's focus? It has to have a focused area that requires the use of the KB, hence why it pops up when it's needed. Having it pop at any time just by clicking takes up reading/viewing space, then one has to use a second touch to minimize the KB they didn't need.

The only reason to bring up finder is to type in and search for a app. So you have to bring up the keyboard. This should happen automatically.

When you say 'finder", I take it that you mean "search" and that means any box that allows textual input.

Your request will not work to auto-pop-up the KB if the KB doesn't know the focus.

I agree with @MrSirPaul. Home up app gives privilege to use finder access by swipe down in app screen but doesn't pop up the keyboard so what's the point of having that feature. I use a lot to search apps, and contacts but all time I have to click on search bar to open the keyboard. Compare against the ios spotlight search where you swipe down and you are ready to type and search the text.

We need keyboard pop-up whenever we swipe down on app screen

One ui is meant to be used by one hand so why don't samsung put the search bar at bottom in app drawer screen ??

There is a way to do this but you have to turn off the app drawer, which is annoying but maybe forgivable? I have tested and it now works... bit odd tbh.
