Media Player Live Notification disappears when paused

In the now bar settings I have Media player toggled on in the live notifications section. In panel settings, 'Together' is selected.

When media is playing, the media player appears as expected in the notification shade. However, the player notification disappears when playback is paused.

With the panel settings on "Separate", Media Player disappears from the notifications list, but does appear on the control panel. This is not intuitive (I only found this by accident.)

Maybe Samsung could add some options to Good Lock that let the user decide where the Media Player appears.
