There were 2 icons for the same Contact list. To clean things up I deleted the single icon. However all copies of the icon were deleted. Tried Googlle settings, went to restore. Chose amail account deleted.
Then it said it could not be recovered now. Tried my current S22 phone file, then former S20 contacts list carried over in December also said could not be restored. This is a contacts list I have kept for years.
