After using One UI 7 on my S22 Ultra for a day, there are a few changes I wish I could make

Battery level

Drop-down shortcut icons

1) Have the battery level show like it used to be, with just a number % instead of the "pillbox". Once the level starts getting low, the number on the right side is harder to see because of the white shade of the pillbox.

2) The drop-down shortcut icons could be changed to left-right swipe instead of up-down scrolling.

3) Before UI 6, the Always on Display Notification Icons would each have their individual color (YouTube would be red, text messages would be blue, email green). But in UI 6 and UI 7 they notification icons are all white. This makes it harder to distinguish which icons are there if the brightness is not all the way up.

Afterthought....
Back before UI 6 the AOD would turn off if the phone was laying face down or was in your pocket. But after UI 6 and still in UI 7 the AOD is on even if the phone's screen is face down on in your pocket. It is just using battery for no reason.

The AOD has a new setting, "Auto", that turns it off in a dark place like a pocket or purse. Perhaps this would also work if you turn the phone face-down?1746517284026.jpg

I activated the Auto and did a test with th phone placed face down in a completely dark room. Went in there after a few minutes and took a peek at the AOD was still on. So doesn't look like it's working, unless I'm missing something

Sounds as if the feature is bugged then. I guess report it to Samsung and hope they get a patch out for it.

I used to have my AOD set on "tap to show" to save battery. Since the update it's so dim that I can't see it anyway, so I gave up and turned it off. Maybe a future update to Good Lock will fix it.

In UI 6 there was an option for the AOD brightness to be set to auto or to select from dim to bright. That option is now gone from that I can tell and is just auto brightness.

I never had any luck with Auto Brightness and used the AOD brightness control in Good Lock's LockStar module. All the AOD settings are now gone from there too.

Looks like it's gone in Good Lock, or I don't see it

Yes, there used to be AOD settings in the LockStar module, but all the settings that had anything to do with the AOD are now gone.

Samsung will probably eventually update Good Lock to provide AOD options again, but from the complaints on the forum they likely have higher priority issues to deal with first.

Maybe it's me, but with each new One UI version, it has less and less user customization.
