Bought a new S22+ a few days ago.

I've never had success with voice turn by turn directions with AA. My first phone, S10E, would not connect to audible directions the majority of the time and I could never pin down the cause as it seemed to vary. Now I just added my new S22+ and can't get audible directions.

The phone does connect to Bluetooth via Honda link on my 2019 CR V. When connected if you open BT and look at the settings for the Honda link connection it is connected for calls, contacts and messages but turned off for audio. When you attempt to turn that on it acts like it does but in less than a second it turns itself off.

Never fixed the problem on the S10 despite many different attempts. I had hoped the new phone would solve the issue.

The phone is running OS 13, version 8.5.624594 AA, and version 11.60.0703 of Google Maps.

Attaching a screen shot of the Bluetooth settings when connected to AA. When you try to turn on audio on BT it immediately turns off. It will play other audio from your phone while getting directions. It is connected by a cable but I don't think the directions come via cable but through BT audio from other apps will play.

I have the same problem with my Galaxy 22 Ultra. Be persistent, I wait for it to slide to the off position and then turn it on again. Sometimes it takes five or six times but eventually it'll stick. Also try changing your device type from other to speaker. And check your sound to another device settings. But sitting there turning the audio back on every time it kicks off seems to have worked every time for me.

Thank you for your reply. Mine starts turned off and I've tried turning it back on five or six or more times but I will try that again.

I did see the first setting and it is set to other. I will give that a try. Where do I find the " sound to another device settings"?

I tried again. After connecting to Honda Link I checked the settings and audio does not start out on. I tried 20-30 times to turn it on and it would never stay.

Tried changing type to speaker and then headphone and that didn't help.

Can you tell me where to find "sound to another device settings"?

Thanks

It's the last option in the 'Sounds and Vibrations ' section in the phone's settings, so:
-Settings
-Sounds and Vibration
-Seperate App Sound

It appears that I've found the solution. The Honda dealers have been no help but I recently found an 800# for help with tech for Honda. Their recommendation was to reset the infotainment system and after doing that it has been working. One minor glitch is when it speaks it isn't pausing or muting whatever might be playing like itsw supposed to. Aside from that I'm just happy it works and hoping it doesn't stop.
