Number count on messages notifications on lock screen?

I just recently got a Samsung Galaxy s22 plus but I've been noticing this weird number count on the messages notifications on the lock screen. Anyone know how to remove it?

This part in question is the little 99+ icon counter next to the messages on the right side.

That's just informing you of how many new messages. Since you just got the phone, they may be all being recognized as new.

Just have to turn notifications off for that messaging app. What do you use for texting?

That's the regular messaging app from and the phone itself but when I click on the message and read it it disappears but if I click Mark as red it removes the bubble because I have my messages as bubble form

Maybe try blocking that number..
