I am experiencing an issue where the pictures and all images on my Samsung S22 appear to be distorted (demonic). Could you please provide guidance on how to restore them to their original appearance?

Did you somehow invert colors or something? Go into settings > accessibility > vision enhancements and see if anything might be toggled.
