I have a new S22 that I am setting up on behalf of another user and I cannot find any information on how to disable this form of notification. It occurs when the phone gets a notification and is locked. The edges of the screen light up and cycle colors. It is NOT Edge Lighting, and due to Edge Lighting, it has made searching for the way to disable this notification impossible. I wish to turn this style of notification off for the user and am currently unable.
Have you tried to go to system settings: notifications: turn off: then try all access: notifications/edge-light notifications: turn off... if you still can't find it I would suggest you do a Bixby search since it is a Samsung specialty and Bixby can do a "deeper" search for the issue.. the other thing I thought of is look into the Smart things settings and see if it is set to light notifications in there- I would look at smartthings companion apps too and see if there is a totally different app all together that is the cause of the problem... I'm sorry, 1 know that is a lot of investigating to find what should be a simple solution...
The settings for Edge Lighting are off on every applicable setting. I have disabled SmartThings entirely, and all searches in both Samsung and Bixby have returned nothing. I actually suspect now that it is this "Always on Display" but I have also turned that off on all applicable settings yet the issue persists.
