Galaxy S22

i've seen a few people talk about the issues they have with the S22 series, since december 2022 after a launch of an update until this month in 2025.

i just want to say that this is outrageous! my S22+ out of the box phone is not even a year old and it's having these issues. constant freezing and overheating, battery drain and the preformance is **bleep**ty. i have tried every solution, every hack, i've reset everything and i've taken the sweet time out of my day, trying to find a solution.

Samsung you have clearly downgraded, i've been a loyal costumer but you give me no choice but to never buy a Samsung ever again and switch to an iphone.

if you don't fix this issue whether it's a hardware or software issue, then you are completely declining as a company

Sincerely.

Hey there! I am sorry to hear that your s22 keeps freezing and restarting! Let's try these troubleshooting to see if it helps.

1. Update Software:
.
Ensure your S22 has the latest software updates installed. This can help resolve bugs and performance issues.
2. Safe Mode: https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS10003495/
.
Boot your S22 into Safe Mode. This disables third-party apps, allowing you to determine if one is causing the freezing and restarting.
3. Clear Cache Partition:  - Power off your device.
 - While the device is powered off, simultaneously press and hold the power and volume up buttons.
 - Once the Samsung logo appears, release both buttons. Your device should boot into recovery mode.

Using the volume buttons to navigate and the power button to select:

 - Navigate to "wipe cache partition" and press power.
 - Select yes to confirm.
 - Navigate down to "Repair apps" and press power.
.
Wiping the cache partition can resolve temporary glitches that may be causing the phone to freeze and restart.
4. Factory Reset: https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS10002030/
.
As a last resort, consider performing a factory reset. However, this will erase all data on your phone, so make sure you back up your important data first.

If you've tried all these, and you're still having the issue I would suggest having a certified technician take a look at the device.

You can use the following link to find a list of service centers in the U.S. that can do the repair: http://www.samsung.com/us/support/service/location or by calling customer support at 1-800-726-7864. For service outside of the U.S., please use this link: https://www.samsung.com/us/common/visitlocationsite.html  I do apologize for any inconvenience.

Galaxy S22
Started Saturday with freezing on normal actions, then the phone started rebooting over and over for an hour straight. Eventually it factory reset, but I was able to return it to my regular settings with a Samsung backup; minus photos, file, and texts that were on the phone. Now it's freezing and rebooting on its own a couple times a day since. Safe mode seems to be fine, so I'm guessing it's a 3rd party app? But I haven't downloaded anything new in awhile, and certainly nothing out of the ordinary.
