Before the new update, when a text notification would pop up on the home screen, it only showed the person name who texted you. After the new update, the notification pop-up shows the person name and some of the text message. There used to be an option to pick if you wanted the message to preview or not. I have my "Show Preview" turned off in the google message settings, and in my notification settings, i have the pop-up style set to "brief." Yet my messages are still showing when they come through and pop up. I have no issues with the actual pop-up because i want the pop-up to show me who im getting a message from. I just dont want whatever was said showing. If i turn off the "notification pop-up" setting, then it won't pop up at all. There will only be a message icon in my notification bar showing i have a message. I would just like to see who's texting without showing/previewing the message🤦🏽‍:female_sign:🤦🏽‍:female_sign:.

As far as I know, you can hide message content on the lockscreen but not the home screen. 1746664547774.jpg

It used to give you an option in your phone settings and message (Google messaging app or samsung messaging app) settings to hide it on the home and/or lock screen. But not since the new samsung update🤷🏽‍:female_sign:

This is happening for me too on S24, after update to UI 7.0.  I can disable ALL notifications, which includes sound and badge counter and previews on the drop down notification shade.  I want the alerts, but do not want the previews. I've spent most of an afternoon with a samsung tech trying to determine settings for this.  This is happening for both Google Messages and Email.  Very annoying.
