S22 ULTRA Camera Fails after most recent update 03/22/2026

Hello, 

I installed the latest software update on 03/22/2026 and ever since then I cannot operate my Camera. I open it and it immediately freezes and a banner appears saying "Warning Camera failed." 

I have reset the cashe and Camera data and restarted the phone to no avail. It was working just fine prior to software update. Please help because this is absurd.

Send feedback/error report to samsung by going to the members homepage and tapping the โœ”๏ธ from the menu on the left.

I have a galaxy s23 ultra and all of a sudden camera stopped working.  When I click on camera icon it says camera failed..

I have cleared cache and such...did restart and still not working

Anyone else have this issue?

Huh thats weird is the lense cracked or anything? Are you on the lastest software version?

Lens not cracked...I checked for updates.

If i press camera icon and hold it it comes up with take a selfie or take a portrait..there is can take picture..bit as soon as I go to camera it says it failed

I have this exact same problem on my Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra. Can still take selfies, but I need my camera urgently! I hope Samsung will bring out a fix quickly! ๐Ÿคž

Run the on-device diagnostic under Device Care, or go to the Support tab in the Members app and tap "get started."

hey so having the same problem as listed above and ive tried ALL the things i could do on my own and also did the diagnostic and reached out to support... here's what i got... anymore recommendations because they want me to pay out of pocket for these repairs1776747875379.jpg1776747909143.jpg

I been having this issue as well I got the update (it was just a security update) yesterday and all day today I've been having issues. I tried resetting camera settings it worked temporarily to open the app but as soon as I used the front camera it failed, and clearing data and cache still didn't work. I even did a full restart and power off. I turned off all AI settings and got off wifi. It seemed to fix it, camera opens in third party apps. The members diagnostic first showed front camera failure, but now says its fine. I'm not sure its a hardware issue although I can't be sure. The connection to the front could be loose. I hear a sound when I shake the phone a bit, but apparently that is normal. The main camera app shows clear previews but blurry saved photos with post capture clean up. The third party apps show clear post capture photos. Although occasionally it goes blurry then randomly is clear again later. I sent reports to Samsung. I will be using third party apps till there's an update to fix this. *I have a samsung s24 ultra*

have been having the SAME issue. ran diagnostics and this is what i received as the problem.... but yet i am responsible for paying for the repairs??? not sure how much it will cost but i cannot afford it. have you had any luck on getting a resolution to yours?!1776747710406.jpg
