I just thought I would share my experience. I know some folks have had some issues, as with any device, but overall my experience for the last year has been excellent.

Over the last 5 or 6yrs I've owned many devices, including OnePlus, LG, Apple, and Samsung. I've spent a lot of time using both stock and custom roms on some of them. I must say that the S22 Ultra is the most complete device I've owned(I haven't upgraded to the 23, which seems even better).

Screen, camera, and performance have all been excellent for me, and the feature set of OneUI along with Goodlock allows me to do just about anything I could hope for.

Software updates have been regular and timely also. The only are that I wish was improved a bit is, of course, battery life. Although my research tells me that this is mostly a limitation of the 8 gen 1 processor used in the device.

For anyone wanting to improve their experience with the device, a couple of tips I've discovered that can make a big difference are as follows:

1. Take some time and explore the settings, I've found that many people are unaware of so many settings and features that are available to help set the device up exactly the way you like it.

2. Explore Goodlock, Good Guardians and their modules. They are more powerful and customizable than many people realize.

3. As a precaution, after every update I go into recovery mode, clear cache and repair apps. I also use Galaxy app booster in Good Guardians every few weeks. It only takes a couple of minutes and, I believe, has helped keep my device optimized and running smoothly.

If you guys have any other good tips, or favorite settings to maximize your experience, please leave them in the comments. Perhaps they might be useful to me or other users.

I should add that in using the T-Mobile carrier variant of the device. I participated in the OneUI 5 beta last year. Obviously, I have not been able to do so this year, but I'm looking forward to OneUI 6 when it comes

Your honesty not missing all that much I have an Unlocked S22 Ultra and joined the Beta the biggest change is the Quick Panel (only thing I don't like is the swipe from the right side to open the full Quick Panel as I'm right handed and instead of pulling down when getting a notification I end up opening the full Quick Panel which I suggested to the Beta Moderators to give us the option to choose which side we want to swipe from)

Yeah, I don't like that either. It gets annoying. Probably just going to turn it off lol I like the design of the Quick panel though. Looks a lot better. I've also noticed that the animations for closing background apps is a bit smoother too. At least they seem smoother to me.

Goodlock was also unusable last year too, for the most part. It became somewhat usable later on into the beta. So it might be the same this year.

I have the S22 U & s23 u. I fell for the hype about the processer in the 23u. It freezes and it's a fraction of a sec faster. The camera is better. Overall my s22u is the better phone overall. Up until a week ago they where both still running on Android 13.
