Galaxy S22@SunnyState88 This is an option so it is easy to fix. Go to phone settings -> Advanced features -> Screenshots and screen recordings. Turn off the option "Hide status and navigation bars".

Galaxy S22OMG thank you. I must have toggled it off and not realized it had this effect when I was trying to change the transparency settings of the status bar and nav bar.

Galaxy S22@Cyngine I haven't seen that option in a long time. For an alternative, swipe down from the top of the screen. In the Quick Panel is a screenshot button.
