Should I get the S22+?

I have an S21, but I have seen several complaints that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 is hotter than the 888, do you who have it think it is a good idea to go for S22+?

I have an s22 plus in an otterbox case. I had a clear case before and didn't feel any heat coming from it. I would get the 22 plus

Unless you found a really good discount on the s22+ I would wait for the s23+. Even if you still want the s22+ there will be better discounts once the new series releases in a few weeks.

The 8 gen 1 is a decent processor but nothing spectacular. The 8 gen 2 should fix a lot of issues with 8 gen 1. The 8 gen 1 can heat up but it is no more than any other modern flagship.

The real gains from 8 gen 2 are better efficiency and battery life, better performance hopefully in multi core and single core, better GPU, better NPU and image processing.

Samsung is supposed to have an exclusive overclocked version as well.

So there is a lot just in terms of SOC and you will get an extra year of updates.

Personally I would wait and get the s23+ or Ultra but that is me.

I heard that Samsung getting that exclusive overclocked Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 is no longer true. That would have been nice to have a higher binned OC'ed CPU but it seems that it's becoming more and more of just a rumor

Well that sucks. At least 8 gen 2 should be a decent upgrade overclocked or not!
