Open the phone screen to recents, notice the three dots in the upper right hand side of the screen? Tap that and a menu will drop down. Select settings. Scroll all the way down and select "supplementary services". Then select "show your caller ID". Then select "never".

Now your phone number will show up as "private" on outgoing calls.1771364590727.jpg1771364590748.jpg1771364590776.jpg1771364590800.jpg

Your carrier might be blocking that option. You should contact them about it. Meanwhile, you can also dial *67 before a phone call to block your number showing up on the other end.

At one point, you could log in to your online carrier account (not via the phone, use a computer) and depending on the carrier, you had options to block the number there. Otherwise, definitely call your carrier. *67 CAN work, but a lot of times, the network can block those calls. I've had that happen to me a few times, so I had to make my phone number visible again.

It's going to be the same on an iPhone. Carriers make you pay for this feature !

Before you spend a house payment on another phone, I'd still contact your carrier, as you will more than likely have the same NETWORK level issue.

Take this from someone who spent decades working for a mobile carrier in network support, and at the NOC. What the company wants, the company gets.
