Installed system update yesterday. No errors. But, after notification that update installed, immediately says UPDATE PENDING and installs the update again.
Please help.

my loop stopped after i paused the patch download (after the phone started up from the previous patch install), waited like 5mins to make sure everything on the phone loaded (notifications and such), and continued the download. after installing one more time, the loop stopped.
Forced to update my phone. Update has been "downloaded and installed" repeatedly, and yet the system won't stop advising that the system must be updated. Endless loop of system update is extremely annoying, and goes a long way to convincing me that I should have no confidence that the update was coded correctly and is effective.
You may be experiencing "stacked updates." meaning you will be prompted to update to every single security patches release in consecutive order until you get caught up.
To bypass these stacked updates, you might be able to connect your device to a PC and run Smart Switch for Mac/ Windows to jump straight to the current software version.
If you don't have access to a computer, you can visit a certified samsung repair center and ask them to flash the device for you.
I mean, updates are *technically* forced in the sense that users cannot decline/postpone them indefinitely, though it is right to distinguish that users consent to this in the TOS/EULA.
