i have now received UI 8 on my s22 ultra and i am trying to work through the new features. however i have already found an issue with the suggested replies on samsung keyboard, i dont seem to have it and i wondered if i am doing something wrong.

Here are steps to troubleshoot and enable the feature on your Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra with One UI 8. 

1. Ensure "Predictive text" is Enabled

The suggested replies feature often relies on the predictive text function. 

Open the Settings app.

Go to General management, then Samsung Keyboard settings.

Ensure the toggle next to Predictive text is turned On. 

2. Check Galaxy AI (Writing assist) Settings 

With One UI 8 (Android 16), AI features are often grouped under a specific menu. 

Navigate to Settings > Galaxy AI (or Advanced features > Galaxy AI).Tap on Writing assist (or Chat assist).

Ensure that any relevant toggles within this section, such as "Chat translation" or "Writing style," are set according to your preference.

The core "suggested replies" functionality is usually covered by general predictive text settings but is enhanced by these features in certain apps. 

3. Clear the Samsung Keyboard Cache and Data 

If the above steps don't work, clearing the keyboard's cache and data can resolve glitches, though it will erase learned personalized predictions and custom settings. 

Go to Settings > Apps.Tap the sort icon (usually three vertical dots or lines) and toggle on Show system apps, then tap OK.

Scroll down and select Samsung Keyboard.Tap Storage, then tap Clear cache and Clear data.

Restart your phone and check if the feature is working after setting up your keyboard preferences again. 

4. Check for App Updates

Ensure all relevant Samsung apps are up to date through the Galaxy Store, as the keyboard functionality might receive updates independently from the main system update. 

By following these steps, you should be able to restore the suggested replies feature. If issues persist, it may be a temporary bug with the new One UI 8 build that Samsung will likely fix in a future patch.

i have tried the suggestions here , accept for the wiping of Samsung Keyboard Cache and Data which i couldnt figure out on my phone. when you go into apps the samsung keyboard does not appear, there is a seperate folder for samsung app settings but its not in there either.

Go to Settings
Click Apps
Click the Filter and sort icon
Click Show system apps
Click Ok
Scroll and find Samsung keyboard
Click Samsung keyboard
Click Storage
Click Clear cache then Clear data
