USB storage media doesn't show on the phone's gallery.

I recently bought a new Samsung USB C storage device, I'm pretty old school and I like to keep my media on a USB storage. When I plug it into my phone (S22 ultra) my media doesn't appear on the gallery app. I tried to do the same thing on my OnePlus and the media shows in the gallery. Does anyone know what's the problem with the Samsung Gallery app?

I did. The files are there just not on the gallery app.
