I have a Samsung S22 Ultra. I can't get the voicemail app to work and I can't get the voicemail notification symbol to show.

Galaxy S22Which carrier are you using? I have an factory unlocked S series phone and while the native voicemail app works with Verizon (and Verizon MVNO), it did not work with a T-Mobile MVNO (Red Pcoket). However, the T-Mobile voicemail app downloaded from Google Play worked. This was about a year and a half ago. Since then, I have been on Verizon using the native voicemail app.
If you are on T-Mobile, try to download the T-Mobile voicemail app and see if it works. If it is another carrier, other than Verizon, try their own voicemail app. Good luck!

Galaxy S22It's still a carrier issue for the mailbox to send a signal to the phone. However, you can send an error report to Samsung. https://us.community.samsung.com/t5/Tips-Tricks/How-to-Send-Feedback/ba-p/3001692
You can ask your carrier to reset your voicemailbox and that may solve the issue.
