Unable to receive verification codes via text message after an update

I just got this phone about three months ago. It was working fine. Now after an update I am unable to get certain text messages like of I need to verify my ID and a website ask to send me a verify code, I never receives, or if I go to thestore and send a text that I'm there, they want receive it and I want receive any confirmation text from them. It's like I can't get text from numbers that's not real numbers like text 99147 for instance.  Please help

Have you tried rebooting into recovery mode and clearing the cache and then running the repair apps option?

I tried everything even faculty reset. And it still does the same. I don't know how to do repair apps. Please inform me how to do that

Settings - apps - messages, click storage and clear cache. Might work.

Att if that's what you referring to. I really think it's them that's causing it.

Go into you messages app, then click on the 3 button menu (need to close out of any text messages you may be in first) Select the Settings option, then on More settings From there ensure that Push Messages is toggled to ON (to the right.

Hopefully this is your issue, and the update somehow just toggled it off...
