While watching a video, if I rotate my phone horizontally, auto rotate works and the video rotates and goes full screen, but all I see is a black screen and grey bar. Rotating my phone back to vertically, I can see the video again

Restarting the phone fixes this issue but it comes back.

Hi, If restarting your phone fixes it temporarily, try wiping the "cache partition" to see if that helps. It's safe and won't remove your settings or app files. It clears unnecessary files, some of which may be corrupt.

Follow the steps below,

Clear the cache partition
- Shut the phone off (shut down)
- Press and hold the Volume Up key, then press and hold the Side key.
- When the Android system recovery menu options show release buttons.
- Press the Volume down key several times to highlight wipe cache partition.
- Press Side key to select.
- Press the Volume down key to highlight yes, then press the Side key to select.
- When the wipe cache partition is complete, Reboot system now is highlighted.
- Press the Side key to restart the device. Recovery-Mode-on-Samsung-Phone_1000000612_1728437754.jpg

I have the same issue and tried wiping out the cache partition, but still can't fix it. Have you figured out the fix?

I unfortunately have not found a permanent fix.  I have discovered that when this happens if I quickly turn my phone 180 degrees (so its still horizontal but just flipped) it fixes the problem. So this is annoying but I have found a work around.
